good ideas, bad chinese food
Sometimes Ill walk to this Chinese restaurant in downtown thats open late. Its only a 5 min walk from my crib so why not.
I noticed the food is average. Its not bad. Not good either. Just a decent late night place to have shrimp mongolian while sippin on Sapporo , gives me an angle to think.
Angle to think. Its different from inspiration. Just a change of scenery. Sometimes gets us thinking. To me thats important. Being able to think in an unfamiliar place about unrelated topics.
Last 30 mins I have not thought about chinese food. Or why spice level 5 as recommended by the server was actually NOT spicy. It should be called spice level mid.
I have been thinking about AI and the future of humanity. As I usually do, just with a new angle. Trying to ignore the server flirting with me so I can think of ways I can apply 2024 LLM tech to solve everyday problems.
Hate to be a nihilist (I don’t), the future of humanity seems grim. Its grim now, imagine the future 5 years into the future. AI wouldnt be the new cool thing, itll be the norm. And thats nothing bad. But if AI takes the social media route of capitalising on peoples depleting memory spans we’re fucked.
Innovation drives competition, the weak will perish but not in a good way. In a weird 1984 way. Its not so much that weaker folk will cease to exist, rather the waste of human talent that could have gone towards a better cause that scares me. That scares the shit out of me.
Weak men should scare you. Weak men bring anarchy. If AI cant prevent that we are doomed.
