comms r fucked

emails. sms. dm's.

is this all?

the fabric of human communications sitting in google, apple and meta servers.

emails: outdated technology. not real time. spam. ugly. even the addresses are ugly. something"@"somethingelseDOTcom ??? i mean wtf? big 2025?

sms: requires sharing your number.

dms: requires sharing your social media profile.

imagine you meet someone interesting at a bar. you both gotta head out now. exchange what? well, depending on the age of the person and your "connection" to them, you'll choose between either of the three.

is our relationship going to be formal? email. casual? text more casual? follow each other on instagram/twitter.

uhh. theres a decision tree involved. and decision trees aren't very social. the very concept of having to think about your potential relationship with a stranger to decide what form of digital communication youll share is absurd to me.

schools/colleges use snapchat. let me get your snap.

only problem is snap is childish. infact these days theres very little snapping and alot of chatting going on. so snapchat is being reduced to chat. people dont post snap stories as much or snap each other as much unless youre in middle school.

what about adults though? there has to be a solution for this.

do we really wanna stay stuck in this "email hell" as paul graham called it.

theres something missing here. if you can solve it theres a billion $'s on the other end of the solution waiting for you.
